Lin Sun
Lin is the co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Stedical Scientific. She has over ten years of experience serving as an investment banker, in a leading NYC investment bank, and as a private equity and venture capital fund manager across the U.S. and China. Her focus has primarily been on IPOs, M&A and investments in healthcare and the medtech sector. Lin’s career in multinational operations and asset management provides Stedical Scientific the guiding force and insight for evaluating acquisition opportunities and developing business strategies. Lin received a Master’s of Science in Finance from Pace University in NYC. As a working mother from a lovely family, Lin leads the company’s everyday efforts to improve the quality of life for every family by nurturing unique and disruptive medical technologies.

Leo Spiegel
Leo is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of the Board of Stedical Scientific. He has been involved and held senior roles in over 50 startups and 25 exits, including public market transactions across the information technology and healthcare sectors. His passion is to build great teams that accomplish world-changing outcomes. Leo also spends much of his time working with non-profit organizations, including serving as a Trustee of the UC San Diego and the Immediate Past Chair of the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego. His favorite non-work activities include spending time with his family and friends and living an active lifestyle.
Chief MEDICAL Officer
Aubrey Woodroof
Aubrey, a prolific inventor, and entrepreneur, has developed and patented a variety of medical devices, including tissue heart valves, small diameter arterial prosthesis, and abdominal hernia repair devices. He invented Biobrane®, which was the first bilaminate, biosynthetic, temporary wound dressing. Aubrey has been awarded multiple patents for Biobrane, AWOD, AWOD Plus, and PermeaDerm, as well as published numerous papers and chapters in peer-reviewed medical journals. His three medical device companies: Woodroof Laboratories, Aubrey Inc., and PermeaDerm Inc., have all achieved breakthrough medical technology achievements. He considers his most significant scientific contribution to be PermeaDerm with “Optimal Adherence.” Aubrey received his Ph.D. from UCLA in Biochemistry and an MBA from West Coast University. A family man with three children and married to wife Nancy since 1962, he has been the joyful host of his family reunion for over five decades.
